Susan Adler, Class of 1970 Memories: Working on plays in the basement of the High School. The teachers on a work slowdown in 69-70 when we produced our own production of The Wizard of Oz, student directed, produced and conducted. Collecting canned food for migrant workers. And fighting with Irv Schwartz over lowering the flag to half mast for the students at Kent State (not permitted) but lowering the flag for the death of Eisenhower (Why?). What are you doing now? Staci Ehrlich, Class of 1978 Memories: Driving to school...never quite making it on time for homeroom...but it gave Beth time to put on her make-up. Hanging with Suz, Laurie, Beth, Lynn, Bert, Stassi, Marta, and Nancy. Having first car accident by hitting the driver's ed car. Trip to DC... watching "Trilogy of Terror" with Robin and Linda, hiding from Doc Hellerman. Cabaret Nite, cast parties, band parites. Michael Cohen...You are always in my memories! Doing now? I was a stay at home mother with my sons Bryan and Ian, who both graduated from Hewlett High. Bryan is at NYU and working at ABC Sports, and Ian, after winning several awards for Hewlett, plays Division I Football for University of Colorado. I now have a private practice as a motivational therapist.
Roseanne English, Class of 1979 Memories: Walking down Broadway on my way home from school. I have lived in Atlanta for over 20 years and miss places like Wall's bakery; Junior's luncheonette/candy store; and the 5-and-10 with wood floors. Don't make them like that anymore! I also remember Shores (or it may have been spelled Schorrs) when I was younger. A Burger King later replaced that place and was active during my high school years. And on the other side, off Peninsula Blvd, we had the Hewlett Theatre, another great bakery and bagel place, Carvel, and Woodrow's. Who knows what is there now?!? I miss these little things. Doing Now? I am a Senior Public Health Data Analyst with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta. I currently work in BioIntelligence. I have been at the CDC for over 16 years. Having attended Emory University right down the road, I seem to have never left Atlanta! I am widowed, no kids, but have 3 great dogs.
