On the other pages.... please leaf through them! I found some memories that I saved on a word document before I transferred them over to the other site. Not all of them were saved though. Michael Fried, Class of 1977 Memories: Creating WGWH-TV and hitting Dr. Hellerman in the face with a pie. Doing now? Working as an insurance executive.
Fred Frommer, Class of 1985 Memories: Covering football and basketball games for the Spectrum and South Shore Record; running track under Coach Jim Hart. Doing Now? I live in Washington, DC, where I work as a reporter for the Associated Press. I've also written four baseball books.
Cheryl Gartenberg, Class of 1972, Doing now? Director of Merchandising and Design for a women's clothing company.
Marcy Gimble, Class of 1968 Doing Now? Currently living in Columbus, Ohio with my husband, three boys and 3 dogs.
Pamlea Grossman, Class of 1979 Memories: Sneaking out of schoool to go over to Loehman's What are you doing now? I've been in Atlanta, GA for about 10 years, producing television and radio spots. Still single and enjoying it. Would love to hear from old friends.
Kathleen Grover, Class of 1976 Memories: Naiads Swim Show, hanging out in the girls' gym office, small cafeteria having lunch, football games, etc. Doing now? Have 2 children in college, 1 in 4th grade, working part time as teacher's aide in a preschool.
Warren Harrison, Class of 1969 Memories: Appearing on It's Academic as one of three Hewlett HS representatives. My year as President of the Senior Class. Doing Now: Chief Operating Officer of Mobile Dentists, PC, a multi-state school dental outreach program.
Fred Haslett, Class of 1971 Memories: I remember being on the track team coached by Jim Hart. We were his "humps." Imagine a teacher or coach calling their students humps? The would probably be fired! Times have changed. Doing now: I retired from Verizon as a manager after 30 years in 2003, and got my masters in elementary ed. Now teaching in New Hyde Park and lvoing it, and living in Cedarhurst. Still running and entering my 17th year as president of the Long Island Road Runners Club.
Steven Hebel, Class of 1970 Memories: Eating at Juniors during lunchtime. Cutting classes in spring afternoons and walking up to the duck pond. Typing class with Mrs. Fischer (who had the longest fingernails of any human being). Doing now: Living with wife Cynthia on a horse ranch outsid of Santa Cruz, California. Have 4 children and 6 grandchildren.
Stacy Hershfeld, Class of 1990 Memories: None in particular although I certainly enjoyed certain "party" type activities! Doing now? Practicing Internal Medicine with my husband in a small, sleepy town in rural Maine. We have a little girl (Emily) who just turned two & we live on a 50 acre farm with 2 pugs and a blind, decrepit cat.
Donald Jaffee, Class of 1979 Memories: I had some great memories of Hewlett Higih School too numerous to mention, bu the one special memory is drivers education with Mr. Couture. My drivers ed was during the winter months and Mr. Couture took great pleasure having everyone take turns driving in Hewlett Harbor on the ice, and it was not fun at 7am! Who remembers that class? Doing now? After spending 15 years in various administrative financial healthcare positions three years ago, I went into the consulting world and never looked back. I am COO of a healthcare consulting company. In addition, I live in the west with my wife and 4 children. Our family enjoys traveling the USA and other parts. Recently, I visited NY and my kids wanted to see Hewlett High School -- what a surprise to see how much it has grown. I would love to hear from anyone back almost 30 years ago.

Jill Kahn, Class of 1976 Memories: Hanging out in front of high school and partying and having fun. Not going to class. Cutting school and going to the beach... It is amazing we got anywhere when I t hink back... But we all had a lot of fun. (I think?). Have many special memories of poeple that go all the way back to Ogden Elementary school. Lisa Feinman, Meg Kain, Amy Greenberg, Victor Hazan. I often wonder about Ed Sheridan, Cliff Gelbart, and Dean Youdelman.... Does anyone hear from them??? Cliff Wang, my first real boyfriend. Where are you? Mary Babineau - I am glad you and I are reconnected. We go back a long way! What are you doing now? I have been happily divorced for 3 years. I have two children - Lia age 14 and Dylan age 11. Oh yes, and Dakota age 3 (the dog) and Jason (the Gecko). I have my own decorating business and I live in Rockville, Maryland.
Roger Kahn, Class of 1973 Memories: Swim Team - Rich Ellis, Mitch Berger, George Amitrano, Bob Combs, John Ebel & Coach Bob Saltz. Also the swimmers that came before us - Burt Zweigenhaft, Garret Hopkins, Arnold Sawyer, Sandy Rubenstein. Swimming was great and the friendships were even better! Also loved fife guarding in Long Beach. Doing now: I have two businesses. ONe does commercial real estate lease auditing - reviewing commercial leases to make sure the landlords are billing only what they are supposed to - ha! The other is a company in Garden City called the Intelligent Office that provides Remote Reception services and virtual office space to companies of all sizes. I still swim and have consistently ranked in the top ten in the country, and occasionally the world, in the butterfly sprint events. At this stage of the game though it is not how fast I swim, but how slow I don't swim! I am married to a Lawrence grad - Pam Lebwith ('73) and have two boys - 19 and 14. We live in Westchester.
John Kall, Class of 1974. Memories: Hewlett Inn at lunch time in 74, Mech Drawing classes, Track. Graduated, went to work for Grumman, then went to SUNY Plattsburgh and received a Physics Degree. Doing Now? Technical Director for the CSX Raiilroad Data Center. Just finished 17 months as a recalled Navy Reservist stationed in Bahrain, Kuwait and Irag. Living in sunny Jacksonville, FL.
James King, Class of 1975. Memories: Owning my first car and driving to school before I had my driver's license. Doing now: Working for the Federal Government in communications (USPS). Divorced after 20 years of marriage (1983-2003). Father of four sons - Peter, 22 (married, US Navy stationed in Pearl Harbor, HI); Brent, 20 (restaurant manager, full time college student); Dale, 18; Sean, 13. Have custody of Sedan and am raising him myself. Dating a 33 year old woman for the past 3 years (I am 49), my best friend and soulmate. Living in Middle Island, NY. Own two homes on Long Island. Clean and Sober 14+ years. Webmaster of "Pops' Racing Site" - vinage Long Island racing fotos from Freeport Stadium, Islip Speedway and others.
